city_of_wolves  HyeSung was born to a Nym mother and a beta fighter father. Unlike most wolf children, he was not abandoned on the street. He was raised within his parents' clan, and learned from both of them. But although his mother and his father had a hand in his upbringing, the parent that HyeSung most resembles is his father. Both are cold and distant; both value the mind and intelligence far more than brute strength; and both have no scruples when it comes to manipulating surroundings, and people, to their own advantage. HyeSung learned everything from his father. He learned that cold rationality is the only way to ensure survival. He learned that the only person you can rely on is yourself. He learned that emotions are a waste: the heart lies, deceives, and makes clouded judgments... As nyms go, HyeSung is vain, self-centered, and arrogant. As far as he is concerned, the only person who matters is him. He feels threatened by no one except, perhaps, for other nyms. He doesn't like to fight physically, because he doesn't consider it as enough of a challenge (besides, compared to other wolves, he is smaller and weaker.) His looks are important: he'll never let a hair be out of place; he knows that his looks are his greatest advantage over other people. Although nyms are required to follow the orders of any of their clan members, HyeSung always finds a way around this. He makes his own rules, and finds loopholes in others' that he can slip through. As long as no one issues him a direct order, he'll do whatever he want, however he pleases. This includes playing with humans and, rarely, wolves from other clans. HyeSung likes a good challenge; he likes to test his abilities to wrap people around his finger and use them however he wants. It's a test of everything he's ever learned. Most nyms are seductive and make full use of their bodies to achieve what they want. However, HyeSung, with his wide eyes and chubby cheeks, knows that the words "seductive" and "sultry" don't really describe him. He's pretty, though, so he chooses to play the role of a flirt: innocent, cute, and entirely harmless. It catches most people off guard, and allows him to win them over. At times, he even pretends to be naïve and gullible, letting people think they are taking advantage of him. It is the role he plays best, the role he is most comfortable in. |
